The TLD D3 Fiberlite helmet offers many of the racing-derived features found on the top-shelf D3 Carbon and D3 Composite siblings. Utilizing a lightweight, fiberglass shell, the D3 Fiberlite features wind tunnel-proven aerodynamics and an efficient ventilation system to keep the rider cool. 20 high-flow intake and exhaust ports ensure maximum airflow, with 14 air intake ports directed to the front and chin, and 6 hot air outlets via 3 grids providing a constant flow of internal air circulation.

The D3 Fiberlite's technologically advanced aerospace composite construction delivers a comfortable, secure fit thanks to its 3D cheek pads. Quick-release cheek pads allow for easy helmet removal in the event of an emergency. Custom anodized aluminum screws give the D3 a performance look while offering the ability to shear on impact, and wire mesh coverage around the vent ports keeps debris from entering during racing and riding conditions.

Compared to its premium siblings, the D3 Fiberlite weighs 1250g, falling between the 1050g D4 Composite and 1000g D4 Carbon models. While it lacks the MIPS rotational system found on the higher-end variants, the D3 Fiberlite retains the adjustable visor and EPS impact-absorbing liner common across the Troy Lee Designs D-series helmet line.
